At this begriming stage, joseph-design consists primarily of myself.
However, I happen to work in conjunction with several creatively minded
individuals who are in need of representation. Soon enough, you'll
find that the collection of items available through this stream will
grow to include not only my own work, but also the work of others.
Personally, I'm rather excited and hope for this collective effort
to present itself soon. |

Simply put, I'm one of many; an artist. I live in a small
town in southern Indiana. I've been painting since a young age -
around eight, I suppose.
Although
my beginning medium of oil painting was a pleasant experience, I've
drifted far away from realism. I've always been quite fond of those
who can truly capture an image with impressing realism, but that's
simply not me.
Artistic
mediums have ranged widely from oil to acrylics, watercolor, digital
illustration, charcoal, and so on. I've touched on many, but the
mainstay has always been acrylics. See my portfolio via the link
above, or by clicking here. |
So
then, what is my style? Hmmm... The easiest way for me to describe
my own work is that it is motivated entirely by mood. Sometimes
it's happy, and sometimes it's not quite... well, happy. Mood determines
the piece, the content, the medium, the everything.
In
a nutshell - there you have it. In the end, I'd suppose I'm just
me, Joseph. |

Printed
pieces...
I've had several printed pieces. I've done a lot of work for a Hallmark
subsidiary - Sunrise Greetings.
Work
has included tons of print design (which I won't bother showing,
as this site isn't about print design,) and some illustration -
both traditional and digital.
In
terms of finding cards that I've worked on, your best bet would
be looking at your local Barnes
and Noble, as they are one of the largest customers for Sunrise
Greetings.

Web
design and digital illustration...
I've also designed their web sites, both the mother site sunrisegreetings.com,
and the sister site - weinerdog.com,
which both include some digital illustration rendered by myself.
Check 'em out if you'd like.
...and
then there's always Ebay.
Ebay has become another outlet for creativity. My newly opened store
on Ebay offers one of a kind creative items, illustration and home
decor. With hopes that business on Ebay will grow, also provides
room for expansion of items available on Ebay.
